SCUBA diving at "Tabletop" in Turks & Caicos. The weather was not perfect that week, so we motored around for 90 minutes looking for a site with good visibility. We ended up here at "Tabletop" in 20' of water.

This is what grape vines look like towards the end of the growing season, well before the winter rains have begun. Notice the only green in this picture is on the vine itself. After the harvest the rainy season will begin these rows will be filled with lush green grasses. and empty brown vines. The Napa Valley is a beautiful region no matter what season it is.

I found a great set of pictures from Napa Valley taken at the end of December back in 2004. The California winters are different from New England; they're mostly wet and stormy. Winter in California is so backward of New England. Out in the Napa Valley, where these photos were taken, the grass is brown all summer and then turns a lush green in the winter when it starts raining again. Taken at Sequoia Grove Vineyards in Rutherford, CA.
